[dodane 4 września 2018:] Udało mi się w miarę dokładnie zrekonstruować dzieje rodziny Tollkühnów (Tolkienów) z parafii w Kwidzynie. Rodzina ta mieszkała w mennonickich wsiach Klein Grabau (dziś Grabowo, gmina Sadlinki), Stangendorf (Glina, gmina Sadlinki), Bialken (Białki, gmina Sadlinki) i Weichselburg (Wiśliny, gmina Sadlinki). Ci Tollkühnowie byli wyznania luterańskiego (nie menonickiego). Najstarszym Tollkühnem, którego spotykamy w tej okolicy był Wilhelm Tollkühn (ur. ok. 1730), syn Friedricha (ur. najpóźniej ok. 1710). W 1750 jako stolarz z ...berg wziął on ślub z niejaką Marią Preussler (?) z Grabau. Ich dziećmi byli: Wilhelm (ur. 1769), Christina (ur. 1774) i Daniel (1779–1820). Wilhelm z pierwszą żoną Anną Christiną Flatau miał co najmniej czworo dzieci (Friedricha Wilhelma, Daniela zmarłego w dzieciństwie, Johanna zmarłego zaraz po urodzeniu i kolejnego Daniela). Po śmierci Anny ożenił się z Cathariną Heuse, która urodziła mu jednego syna i trzy córki (Heinricha, Helenę Christinę, Justinę i Wilhelminę). Christina, córka Wilhelma, wyszła za mąż za Davida Schulza, a Daniel, najmłodszy syn Wilhelma został muszkieterem w VII kompanii III Wschodniopruskiego Regimentu Piechoty, który stacjonował w Prabutach. Był on też krawcem w Stangendorf. Jego żoną była Eva z domu Runge, a ich dzieci to: Johann Christian (1810–1811), cieśla Daniel (1814–?), Anna Maria (1816–1830) i Eva (1818–1821). Ta gałąź Tolkienów nie była blisko spokrewniona z Tolkienami z Krzyżborka i Gdańska, jak to wcześniej podejrzewałem, ale możliwe, że najstarszy rodem Friedrich przybył jako osadnik nad Wisłę około 1730 roku z terenu późniejszych Prus Wschodnich.
I feel that we are closer and closer to the most important discovery. I have found "new" Tolkiens in the small towns around Danzig/Gdańsk. The documents below come from a Lutheran church in Riesenburg/Prabuty (see the photo). We are looking for the family of Daniel Gottlieb Tolkien (b. 1747), Johann Benjamin Tolkien (b. 1753, great-great-grandfather of J.R.R. Tolkien) and Christian Tolkien (b. 1762, a Danzig antiquarian), and is so the finding of a Daniel or Christian or Johann is a big thrill for me. Few minutes ago I have found a very interesting person...
He is Daniel Tolkien (1811) vel Tollkühn (1810), husband of Eva, née Knage and father of Johann Christian (born 28 November 1810, died 2 July 1811). Daniel's brother (?) is another Johann Tollkühn. What is interesting Daniel is an East Prussian soldier!

This Daniel Tolkien was born around 1785–1790 and could be a relative to our brothers (or cousins) from Danzig/Gdańsk (he could be Christian Tolkien's son!). What is most interesting he was a Musketier (Private) in the 7th Compagnie of the 3rd East Prussian Infantery Regiment. As far as I know it stayed at Riesenburg/Prabuty till the Napoleonic army retreated from Russia in 1812 and stationed also in the same place.
Even if this Daniel Tolkien was born in Danzig/Gdańsk, in 1810 this town and whole region were under the Prussian occupation (before 1772 it was Poland) and the citizens had to serve the Prussian state – also as the soldiers.
