My guess was right! The Tolkiens from Gdańsk belonged to the Lutheran parish of St John (Johanneskirche)! This guess was based on the neighborhood of the earliest attested address of the Gdańsk Tolkiens (Tagnetergaße 11 in 1808)) with this beautiful gothic church (see here). At the moment I am reading the parish books of Johanneskirche and at once I have found the Tolkiens there!
